sign The mission of McAllister & Son Custom Tileworks, founded in 1996 is two-fold:  First and foremost we exist to provide a showroom for our clients where they can come to select unique and high quality products for their homes when considering the selection of ceramic tile and/or hardwood flooring.  We make it our foremost effort to constantly bring in the latest and most trendy samples of ceramic tile, natural stone, marble, glass, and hardwood.  Furthermore, it is our commitment here at McAllister & Son to provide the best service possible to our customers.  We believe in service with a smile and always treat our customers with the utmost respect and kindness while providing professional help with design and selections.

Secondly, here at McAllister & Son we are about the business of installing what we sell to those who so choose.  Though we are a full service retail store we are committed to installing those products for our deserving clients.  It is here, in the installation department that our company takes great pride in providing the absolute best installation available. Our standard of excellence is of certain noteworthiness.  Mr. McAllister holds such a high standard in regard to this end by staying on the cutting edge in the ceramic tile field.  He keeps abreast of any qualified changes and improvements made by organizations such as The CTI (The Ceramic Tile Institute) and The TCA (Tile Council of America).

Because of this desire to be the best, we proudly invite our customers to take the time to hear about all of our exciting product lines that place their installation above all others.  These products include such giants in the industry as Schluter's Ditra Matting Underlayment, Shower Systems, and Tile Profiles, Laticrete International's Hydro Ban Waterproof Membrane (to keep showers and wet areas absolutely dry and mold free), and SpectraLOCK Grout for a stain-proof application that will keep it's first day appearance for years and years. These products and so many more are what make McAllister & Son distinct from their competitors.

Justin's Beach House

Jennings was a young man who diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in July of 1988.  This news came to Justin just one month prior to entering his freshman year at Penn State.  Though he was very much...

Waves of Tile

Recently we completed another kitchen backsplash.  This particular tile is a bit on the unique side of things since it is fashioned in the form of a wave or a scroll look.  Our installer Jason was tested, but proved once again to be the better when it came to installing this natural stone. By the time I caught up with Jason he was getting the grouting completed.  I will simply let the pictures...

Breaking the Weather

When our recent customer found water coming in his back door he realized that he needed something besides the hardwood flooring as a "weather break" at this area.  We were happy to accommodate by cutting this maple flooring back to an approximate 24" width and inserting these beautiful pebbles.  We then installed our waterproof, mold proof, stain proof grout called Spectra...

A Ceramic Area Rug

Well, after taking most of the summer off from blogging, I figured with fall in the air it was a good time as any to get back to writing and posting.  Today I thought I would feature a Hotel Lobby floor that we tackled in the town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This hotel lobby floor was upgraded by using  non-slip 12" x 12" porcelain tiles with a simple border to create this "area rug" effec...
